Sad (ish) News.

I’m ill again (still) and I am unable to put in any of the effort required to run this blog. It’s a lot of work, and I just don’t have the energy. There will be posts when the other people with access to post post, but the majority of the posting comes from me - and it won’t come basically!

Sorry. But it’s not my fault, and I know that there have been rubbish amounts recently, but this is the best i’ve felt in a long time and i’ve only just been able to get my thoughts together enough to post this.

re:messages - If i know the answer I will reply. if it’s a case of “do you have x gif” look in the tags!!!!! if the gif isn’t in the episode tag, try the character tag (if it’s 2x20ish try starting from the end and working backwards). If it’s a gif that isn’t posted & you’ve checkedall the tags (please add that to a message) then i’ll just leave the message in the inbox & the other mods will see it and keep an eye out for it and if they come across it, will post it.

just to say

there are still 18 posts in the queue but there will be a pause in posts (hopefully it wont be noticeable, but i want to let you know in advance)

my illness means that if i do a lot one day, i feel it for the next few days, and that was what happened yesterday. I did more than I should, and so today am feeling it, and I don’t have the brain power to queue gifs etc, because it’s a difficult thing in terms of concentration. Hopefully i’ll be able to queue some more tomorrow, but i’m not 100% sure.

Okay, so I (Alice, founder~) am hopefully going to be back around until at least Christmas, hopefully after that too, as such..

- There should be more gifs being posted after the episodes have aired (i’m currently working through my backlog of 3x05 4x05 (i’m a numpty) gifs, and i’ll work my way backwards from there, hopefully.

- We had an ask asking if we could (or would I can’t remember) do a playlist for glee cast songs - I’m assuming they meant the songs actually from the episodes, not side songs from the cast themselves (as in Rachel, Mercedes not Lea Michele, Amber Riley etc). I would like opinions on that idea as it sounds like it’d be fun for me to do. But equally I would like more detail, perhaps from the original asker (i’ll reply to the message) in terms of how it should be done - Top 10 character songs, Top 10 season 1 songs, Top sad songs, etc. Thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated in the gleegif inbox!

- I am, generally, trying to be spoiler free myself, I’m unsure of the other mods, but if there is a lull in posts, either I’m ill again, or I know a big spoiler has come out and I am trying to avoid it (my blog on this account follows only regular glee gif posters, my main account I have very few glee fans in my following list.)

- I will try my best to reply to asks - I get them in emails so I do always see them, but it’s not always something I can solve. Asking non-anon also improves your chance of getting a reply (I will always answer privately, so don’t be confused if you get a message from accioalice!)

just a heads up

There’s a new way (ish) to search for the gifs/people/episodes you are looking for, you can now search by episode or season (not new) but also the characters are easier to search for - the list has been separated into Main Characters (the regulars, Rachel, Kurt, Blaine, Tina etc), Side Characters (those still on Glee, but not in every episode, or nearly episode) and Former Characters, who are those who are no longer on Glee (if they appear in an upcoming episode they’ll be moved to the Side Characters list.

Also, just a note to say that the url gleegifpermalinks is just for mod use, there isn’t really any need to follow it - all the links etc are on the gleegif url, it’s just easier than having to use private posts and such on gleegif.

GleeGif is around to consolidate the gifs in one place (although due to various reasons its more part-time than anything, but hopefully it will get caught up in the hiatus.

If you’re looking for a gif, check the Character tag or the Episode tag.

That’s where most will be located - However a lot of the gifs from the beginning which I’m trying to go back through and tag are not tagged by episode, only by character name and season - make sure you’ve checked the character tag. This is especially the 2x20 >2x21 tags, and any others that were posted around that time!

I’m (Alice) currently feeling well enough to queue some posts, so i’m clearing the backlog, and will hopefully be working my way through to at least 3x15.

For Submissions:

If you want to submit a gif you’ve made, then go to the Submit page and upload it etc, and you’ll be credited underneath the gif.

If you want to submit a gif that you’ve seen on your dash etc, then go to the same page, but change the type to a link, and paste in their url (of the post on their blog, which can be found by clicking the top right corner of the post on your dash).

Okay! I’m back. Technically.

This is an informative post & a call for help.

I’m still ill (boo!) but I’ve had offers of help from happysmilesandglee and from subdrone who are going to post and reblog gifs for me.
